Hello!

I'm a third-year Ph.D. student in Human Centered Design & Engineering at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. David McDonald and Prof. Mark Zachry. I previously earned my M.S. in Intelligence and Information from Seoul National University, and a B.A. from Ewha Womans University.

I am deeply interested in the ways people connect and collaborate with others (or with human-like entities), moments in which humanness and complexity are most vividly amplified.

My PhD research focuses on how AI can support community-sensitive mediation of conflicts that arise in the collaborative work of online communities. I am also exploring different dimensions of human interaction with AI companions.
